CYPRUS RESEARCH AND INNOVATION MANAGERS AND ADMINISTRATORS NETWORK
CYPRUS RESEARCH AND INNOVATION MANAGERS AND ADMINISTRATORS NETWORK
The Cyprus Research and Innovation Managers and Administrators Network (CyRIMA) operates as an informal, collaborative network that brings together professionals involved in the management, administration, and support of research and innovation across Cyprus. Its informal nature encourages openness, flexibility, and inclusivity, allowing members to engage, contribute, and collaborate in a shared spirit of professional growth and mutual support.
To ensure effective coordination during its initial phase, a Temporary Executive Committee has been established to act as the Management Committee until the first official elections take place. This committee is responsible for guiding the network’s early activities, fostering community engagement, and laying the groundwork for its long-term governance framework.
Chair: Michael Papadopoulos – The Cyprus Institute
Vice-Chair: Alexis Onoufriou – Frederick University
Secretary: Elpida Christou – European Office of Cyprus
Marios Demetriades – University of Cyprus
Vasilis Tsakalos – The Cyprus Institute
Styliani Petroudi – CYENS Centre of Excellence
George Kirkos – CYENS Centre of Excellence
Charis Theocharous – Municipality of Nicosia
Stalo Demosthenous – Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Temporary Executive Committee will oversee the development of the network’s operational framework, membership guidelines, and activity plan. Once the network is formally established, members will be invited to participate in elections to form a permanent Management Committee, ensuring representation from a diverse range of institutions and stakeholders within the Cypriot R&I ecosystem.
Through this collaborative governance model, CyRIMA aims to cultivate a dynamic, member-driven community that upholds transparency, inclusivity, and shared leadership in advancing the profession of research and innovation management in Cyprus.
